I grew up skiing every winter, and even tough I am not too fond of the cold, skiing brings me the most pleasure.
So, I try to visit ski destinations at least once or twice a year. Now, Whistler is one of my favorite spots to hit the slopes. Blackcomb has some of the best rides from green to double diamond for any type of skier. It also hosts some of the best hotels with a trendy village, wonderful restaurants and happening bars.

I was lucky enough to spend four white nights at the beautiful Four Seasons and loved every second of it. If you can splurge opt for the premier room as it has the finest mountain views. Fuel up on their breakfast before starting your day on the mountain, because everything is so yummy.

If you are looking for one of the best meals of your life, you have to visit Araxi. This restaurant is everything, from their service, ambiance and most delicious food. I am always overly satisfied with each visit. Their oysters are a must, the duck is mouthwatering and loin venison is to die for. Do not even think about leaving the eatery without having their chocolate fondant.

If you have time and are feeling very adventurous try booking an activity with Head-Line Mountain Holidays. They have many attractive packages and will make it as custom as possible. We booked their heli-snowmobiling which included an ice cave explore. The experience was phenomenal yet challenging, so be prepared for a stimulating day. You will be on top of the Pemberton Icefield with magnificent surroundings, and a monster of a snowmobile to explore the fresh, untouched powder of the mountaintops.

End your trip by booking a massage at the Scandinave Spa. This place is so surreal and peaceful. It is best to go a couple of hours before your appointment to truly undergo the spa resort with their outdoor hot baths and refreshing waterfalls. The experience also known as hydrotherapy is to go from hot to cold in three stages. It is suppose to cleanse the body, stimulate blood circulations and release endorphins to calm your mind. Everyone needs to be in complete silence to find inner stillness leading to an absolute relaxation. Finish your day by sitting in their café sipping on locally handcrafted Namasthé Tea overlooking Lost Lake and Spruce Grove Park.

Truly an amazing journey; can’t wait to go back!
